The Bon dance, or Bon Odori, is a traditional Japanese folk dance held during the Obon festival, a Buddhist celebration honouring the spirits of ancestors. Dancers form a circle around a raised platform called a yagura, accompanied by live music played on traditional instruments. Many participants wear light summer kimonos known as yukata. The dance features simple, repetitive movements that are easy for all ages to follow. The festival atmosphere is further enriched by food and drink stalls. #T
