On April 20, The Calgary Zoo's 21-year-old western lowland gorilla, Dossi, gave birth. The animal experts at the zoo have been monitoring the new baby and first-time mom closely, giving them time to bond with the troop. Since the birth, the zoo kept human interaction to a minimum, which meant zoogoers weren't able to visit. They reopened the Rainforest Building on May 5 to the public.
