ENGINE REMAINS OF BLOWN UP SHERMAN IN NORMANDY DUNES Enjoy a close up view of one of the US M4 Sherman tanks in the dunes at Biville, Normandy. There isn’t much left inside the vehicle but you can still see the gearbox and remaining parts of the huge radial engine which once powered it. This Sherman - which featured a 75mm gun - is an M4A1 built by the Pressed Steel Car Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and one of over 8,000 constructed during WW2. It’s one of a handful of armoured vehicles i
