New England Naturals on Instagram: "Our fur shed turns into a butcher room during deer season and we have to shift our approach to skinning. When I’m skinning furbearers I’m concerned about the pelt but don’t worry about nicking the meat, with deer it’s the opposite. I want to make sure the meat stays clean and in tact whereas a slice in the hide is ok. We hang our deer on a game pole as long as weather and time permits so we’re always skinning deer cold. It’s not the fastest task, but it’s all
