I really enjoyed the challenge of this project. I love Barn Owls so this pushed me to try and create the most realistic feathers I'd attempted to date. Like all drawings I found that breaking it up into small sections and then individual layers meant that no one part became overwhelming. Feathers come in all shapes and textures and these Owls have a real mixture and variety. This meant I could practice with different techniques and I learnt a lot which I will take forward to future projects. - -
