🤠 Did you know? Deadwood is where Wild Bill Hickok met his end. On August 2, 1876, Jack McCall walked into Nuttall and Mann’s Saloon No. 10 and shot Wild Bill in the back of the head, killing him instantly. 😲 The night before, McCall had joined a card game with Wild Bill, lost horribly, and left broke — only to return the next day for revenge. Hickok’s fateful choice to sit with his back to the door sealed his fate. McCall fled but was eventually caught, tried, and later sentenced to death. ⚖️
