The eighth season of the Dragon Ball Z anime series contains the Babidi and Majin Buu arcs, which comprises Part 2 of the Buu Saga. The episodes are produced by Toei Animation, and are based on the final 26 volumes of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama.

The evil wizard Babidi embarks on a quest for vengeance, seeking to fulfill his father's thwarted dreams of universal domination. Supreme Kai enlists Goku and the Z-Fighters to stop Babidi and his vile minions, but a deadly new threat emerges – Majin Vegeta!

Babidi devises a series of challenges and traps to steal Goku, Gohan and Vegeta's energy for Majin Buu, forcing the fighters to combat one of his minions on each level of his ship; Goten and Trunks try to maintain their Mighty Mask disguise.

Trunks and Krillin join Bulma at the crash site of the mysterious time capsule and find an eerie clue: the shell of a large, locust-like creature! Whatever arrived in the time capsule isn't human, and it's on the loose! An insect-like monster threatens to turn Gingertown into a ghastly graveyard!
