At least the showrunner made an effort to include more aliens in Season 2, and when Jeff McCobb pointed out that the fewer amount of them helped make the series feel more “grounded and real,” which is why he liked Rogue One, Gilroy said:

There were a lot of shocking scenes in episode 3 of Andor’s second season, but one of the most surprising was seeing the normally stoic and composed Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) put down her public mask to start downing drinks and then hitting the dance floor in what appeared to be some sort of Chandrilan wedding reception meets after-hours rave.

Season one of Andor was the "making of a revolutionary," series creator Tony Gilroy tells NPR. In season two, viewers will see the growing pains of expanding the rebellion.
