Snowfall ended after a winter storm that blanketed Kansas City with snow Tuesday moved eastward out of the region, according to the National Weather Service. While there may be some snow flurries at times on Wednesday, the weather service said no accumulation is expected.

Starting Monday night, a new blast of winter weather will see up to 10 inches of snow and wind chills as low as negative-30. The storm will plunge Missouri and Kansas into the freezing cold through Friday.

Their neighbors at KU Hospital know all too well about working even when the weather gets bad. Jeff Novorr with the hospital said they offer workers to sleep and eat at the hospital when there is extreme weather. “When we see the long list of closings during a storm — we are never on it,” Novorr said.
