Judge Xinis agreed to grant in part a request from a group of 14 major media outlets and publishers, a major update in the Abrego Garcia case.

A group of more than a dozen news outlets had asked U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis to make a group of documents filed in Kilmar Abrego Garcia's case available to the public.

Judge Xinis ruled in April that the Trump administration must "facilitate" Abrego Garcia's return to the United States, and the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously affirmed that ruling, "with due regard for the deference owed to the Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affairs."
