One potential rumored option has been pursuing Kevin Durant in a blockbuster trade with the Phoenix Suns. While Minnesota has been linked often to Durant since its season comes to an end, a trade does not seem likely. A new report has come out that likely puts any hope of Durant teaming up with Anthony Edwards to rest.

Suns general manager Brian Gregory was asked Tuesday about moving forward without Durant, noting Ott was an assistant with the Brooklyn Nets during most of Durant’s time there.

Kevin Durant has not advanced past the second round of the playoffs since he left the Warriors. This lack of success persists despite Durant playing alongside All-Stars James Harden and Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn, as well as Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Bradley Beal in Phoenix.
