Invest 93L will move westward over Louisiana on Thursday. The western Florida Panhandle will see minor impacts through Saturday.

A slow-developing, broad area of low pressure located over the far northern portion of the Gulf is threatening to bring heavy rain and flooding.

Tonight, across Central Alabama, expect a mostly cloudy sky with humid conditions and a few morning showers. Lows will be in the lower to mid 70s. The remnants of Invest 93L will move north across Louisiana on Friday,

Invest 93L dropped several inches of rain – nearly 9" in some spots – as it crossed Florida this week, before eventually pushing out into the Gulf.

FOX Weather Correspondent Robert Ray is in New Orleans ahead of some potentially nasty weather as Invest 93L looks to drench parts of Louisiana.

Today has been quite gloomy across southern Louisiana as Invest 93L continues to bring heavy rain to the area. As a result, the Flood Watch has been extended into southwest Louisiana until Saturday evening.

While the chance of Invest 93L developing into a tropical depression is decreasing, the flood threat across Louisiana and Mississippi is increasing Thursday and Friday. Flood Watches are in effect and include New Orleans,

Flooding rain is expected along the Gulf Coast as Invest 93L tries to organize into a tropical depression or storm. Meanwhile, tragedy struck at a New Jersey archery range after a lightning strike killed one person and injured more than dozen others.
