A Trump administration investigation has found Harvard University in “violent violation” of the Civil Rights Act, once more escalating its battle with the school days after President Donald Trump suggested a deal was in sight to end its targeting of the university.

Harvard is "in violent violation" of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, the federal government’s Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism said Monday in a letter threatening to cut all the university's federal funding if changes aren't made.

The investigation over Harvard’s treatment of Jewish and Israeli students is the latest in the battle between the White House and the university.
