This week marks the last opportunity to see the "comet of the century", before it disappears for another 80,000 years. Comet A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) has been visible in recent nights. It was at its brightest on Monday night for sky-gazers across the United Kingdom.
Rare comet visible through the week
To view the comet, look towards the western night sky 45 minutes after the sun sets. If you locate Venus, which is the brightest planet in the sky, the comet is located to the right and slightly up. Every night, the comet will become more faint and appear higher in the sky until it is no longer visible.
