Five people were killed and dozens more were injured after a tour bus returning to New York from Niagara Falls rolled over on a highway. State police said 52 people were on the bus when the driver, who was “distracted” while on the New York State Thruway, lost control of the vehicle.

Most of the passengers were of Chinese, Indian and Filipino ethnicity; many of the 54 on board were ejected as the windows shattered.
