Elon Musk has promised that his AI business, xAI, will help to revolutionize society. Before it can do that, however, the company is going to need to become fiscally viable—a goal it hasn’t quite met yet.

Elon Musk's AI startup, xAI, is reportedly in discussions to secure $4.3 billion in equity funding, following recent attempts to borrow $5 billion from debt investors.

Between its founding in 2023 and the debt sale this year, xAI raised $14 billion through equity fundraising, the report said
