Kenya's central bank governor said on Thursday that bank officials did not see much effect on the exchange rate from U.S. President Donald Trump's foreign aid freeze. In late January, Trump placed a pause on most foreign development assistance pending assessments of efficiencies and consistency with his foreign policy.

President Donald Trump's freeze on foreign aid includes support for the Kenya-led international mission to Haiti, which seeks to help local troops fight the gangs that have taken over most of the capital and continue to wreak havoc across the country.
