For Vanderbilt, it was ranked No. 16 in the initial rankings release of the season. The Commodores were behind two ACC teams in Virginia and Louisville and just barely ahead of Georgia Tech. But after Vanderbilt’s 45-38 overtime win against Auburn, it jumped up to No. 14 in this week’s rankings.
The initial College Football Playoff committee Top 25 rankings weren't kind to Vanderbilt football. The Commodores (7-2, 3-2 SEC) came in at No. 16, matching their ranking in the Coaches Poll and one spot below the AP Poll.
The Florida High School Athletic Association will announce its football playoff brackets for all classifications, Rural through 7A, on Thursday, Nov. 6. It will stream its annual release show at noon on its YouTube channel.
