Tennessee received a commitment for its 2027 football recruiting class. Four-star defensive lineman Kadin Fife committed to Tennessee over Auburn, Texas A&M and Georgia Tech on Nov. 21.

Aguilar spent two seasons at Diablo Valley Community College before transferring to Appalachian State University for two seasons and landing at Tennessee for the 2025 season.

The Golden Eagles (10-1) are ranked No. 6, and a win Saturday would automatically qualify Tennessee Tech for just its second FCS playoff appearance.

Tennessee beefed up its defensive line room for the 2027 season by getting a commitment from a 4-star prize from a rival SEC state.

Could the Tennessee Vols be in the market for a new defensive coordinator this offseason? It’s too early to know for sure, but it appears it could be a possibility with James Franklin recently getting hired as the head coach at Virginia Tech.
