Auburn was led to victory by Johni Broome and Miles Kelly. Broome had 20 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals. Kelly had 18 points and shot 4-of-6 from 3-point range. Three other Tigers put up double-figures: Baker-Mazara had 16 points and Denver Jones and Tahaad Pettiford each added 10.

Johni Broome racked up 20 points and 12 rebounds as No. 2 Auburn held on for an 87-82 win over Texas in a Southeastern Conference game on Tuesday in Austin, Texas.

The Longhorns trailed by 21 in the second half but cut the lead down to within three in the game’s final minute.

The Tigers took down the Texas Longhorns 87-82, securing Pearl’s 214th win as Auburn’s coach and making him the program’s all-time wins leader. Pearl passed Joel Eaves on the wins list. Eaves coached at Auburn from 1949-1963.
