Mayor Karen Bass Monday again called for the end of deployment of National Guard personnel and members of the Marine Corps to Los Angeles in connection with Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids.

Bass called the deployment of the National Guard a "chaotic escalation" of the situation, in a June 8 post to X.

This comes after the Trump administration last week reduced the troops' size by half to 2,000 National Guard members.
