A weak front will bring scattered showers and storms to the region, more specifically Central Texas, on Thursday, May 1, into Friday, May 2, according to the NWS. If these storms become severe, the main threat will be large hail and damaging winds.

According to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, there is a chance storms on Tuesday could be strong, with some severe storms possible in Denton County and western Tarrant County. However, most of the severe storms are expected Wednesday, according to the weather service, which includes Dallas and Fort Worth.

The lull in precipitation will allow temperatures to climb well into the 80s Friday afternoon, so it will feel warm outside.
