How third baseman Alex Bregman has tried to help top Red Sox prospects Roman Anthony and Marcelo Mayer since arriving as a free agent.

"His energy is very contagious," said Red Sox first baseman Abraham Toro, who also spent parts of three seasons as Bregman's teammate in Houston. "He's always talking about baseball. Even when the game's over, he's talking about baseball. And it makes you want to get better."

The Boston Red Sox signed Alex Bregman to a three-year, $120 million deal in free agency. The two-time All-Star had interest from the Detroit Tigers, but ultimately chose Boston.
