Wind and rain is picking up across New Mexico. The heaviest rainfall is expected later this evening and on Saturday. A strong low pressure continues to move towards New Mexico. Today is it centered over northern Arizona.

Showers and some thunderstorms roll through this afternoon and evening, with mountain snow for some overnight.

Bellingham and the rest of lowland Whatcom County could see heavy rain and possibly damaging winds from a storm on its way from the central Pacific. Meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Seattle have been watching the storm for a week, Anna Lindeman said online.
