Leeds United have begun the search for a new manager as pressure builds on Daniel Farke to turn his fortunes around at Elland Road.
Farke confirmed Sean Longstaff will be out for around four to six weeks with a calf injury he picked up in last weekend's defeat by Aston Villa. Elsewhere, Anton Stach will "definitely" miss the visit to Manchester as he is the concussion protocol period, while Sebastiaan Bornauw is a doubt with "some MCL problems".
Daniel Farke will be facing questions from the media after Leeds United's agonising late defeat to Manchester City
Leeds United supporters are extremely disappointed following a new announcement amid rumours that Daniel Farke has been sacked.
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke says finishing 17th in the Premier League this season would be a “great success” for his team.
The result leaves Farke on rocky ground given that's no points in the last three matches. Lukas Nmecha has three goals now for the season after his opener but Morgan Rogers' double left Leeds crestfallen once more.
Manchester City beat Leeds 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, as Phil Foden saved their blushes in stoppage time. City surged into a 2-0 lead early on thanks to Foden and Josko Gvardiol but Dominic Calvert-Lewin inspired Leeds’ comeback as he scored and then won a penalty kick which Lukas Nmecha had saved but he scored the rebound.
The Leeds manager is in a perilous position following his side's dismal run and may not be in charge for the daunting upcoming fixtures
