Rough collie is another term for a long-haired collie. Reveille X, Texas A&M's rough collie mascot, had her right eye surgically removed after veterinarians diagnosed her with glaucoma, the university's president said Wednesday.

Though she will take a brief break from her engagements, Reveille X is expected to return to her normal activities by the upcoming fall semester.
