There has been no change to the tariffs hitting Canada and Mexico on Wednesday, according to a U.S. Administration official. The U.S. neighbors are still subject to 25% tariffs on goods that don’t comply with the U.

Most Canadian and Mexican vehicles are subject to a 25 percent tariff rate only on the non-U.S. content in them. U.S. content is defined in Trump's presidential proclamation as the value of parts "wholly obtained, produced entirely, or substantially transformed in the United States."

The U.S. tariffs on goods imported from Mexico and Canada will not be affected by the 90-day pause on tariffs announced by President Donald Trump on Wednesday, a White House official said. The United States' 25% tariff on goods it imports from Mexico and Canada that are not covered under the region's USMCA trade pact remains in effect,
