Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud concludes sophomore season after the opening drive against the Tennessee Titans.

Stroud will play on Sunday at Nissan Stadium. Should the Texans pull out to a significant lead, Ryans could elect to rest him for next week’s wild-card round. The same goes for Houston’s struggles and trails entering the fourth quarter. While the second-year passer is dinged up, he didn’t appear on the team’s injury report.

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud set the bar high for himself after a marvelous rookie season in 2023. However, he hasn't lived up to those standards in 2024. Stroud's completion percentage, yards and touchdowns are down from the year before despite playing in one more game in 2024.

C.J. Stroud completed all six of his passes for 50 yards and a touchdown Sunday on the Texans’ opening drive before going to the bench as Houston snapped a two-game skid going into the AFC playoffs with a 23-14 victory over the Tennessee Titans.
