President Claudia Sheinbaum's statement on Mexico's anti-drug campaign follows President-elect Donald Trump's threats to impose tariffs over drug trafficking.

Mexico and Donald Trump have a history and his views have clashed with Mexico over several issues, including border security and the imposition of tariffs on imported goods. He had earlier sworn to build a wall along the U.
