California authorities say the death of Jeff Sperbeck in a golf cart accident appears to be a horrific accident.

Sperbeck died on Wednesday after sustaining a traumatic head injury from falling out of a golf cart that Elway was driving at The Madison Club in La Quinta, Calif., during the Stagecoach music festival. He was taken to a local hospital and put on life support and ultimately died from his injuries.

Former NFL star John Elway's longtime business partner and former agent has died after reportedly falling from a golf cart. Jeff Sperbeck, 62, died Wednesday from injuries suffered in an accident Saturday evening in La Quinta, California, the Riverside County Coroner confirmed to ABC News.
