Fort Worth police released body camera footage Thursday that showed an officer shooting and killing an armed man after multiple chases and a four-hour standoff, in what is now the fourth Fort Worth police shooting of 2025.

Police released video Thursday after a man fired shots at Lake Worth police, led them on a chase and barricaded himself in a Fort Worth home.

The shooting near East Loop 820 shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 27 was captured on the victim's dash cam video.

Koby Burkhart, 22, was arrested Monday afternoon, according to the Fort Worth police jail log. He remained in custody at the Tarrant County jail as of Wednesday morning on a $500,000 bail, records show. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.

The victim was shot multiple times, according to police. Officers responded to the shooting scene on Harding Street on Tuesday night.
