Vikash Yadav directed a plot to kill Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a dual U.S.-Canadian citizen, the U.S. indictment says.

The Indian government has denied its association or involvement with such a plot to kill an American national on US soil. Following allegations by the US, New Delhi had set up an inquiry committee to investigate the matter.

U.S. officials have told their Indian counterparts they want a speedy result and more accountability after their investigation into Indian involvement in a foiled murder plot against a Sikh activist in the United States,
