Mel B is returning to the "AGT" judges panel for the reality competition's 20th season, replacing longtime judge Heidi Klum.

Heidi Klum is departing the show, with former judge Mel B returning to take Klum’s place alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara and host Terry Crews. Mel B previously was a judge on the NBC series from 2013-18 and on spinoff AGT: Fantasy League in 2024.

Heidi Klum, who has been on AGT for 11 of the past 12 seasons, is leaving. Her seat will be taken by Mel B as the series sets Season 20 premiere date.

The reality competition series will air its 20th season this spring, marking the departure of supermodel Heidi Klum as a judge after 11 of the past 12 seasons. Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell (who also serves as the series' executive producer) are all set to return as judges

The German model and businesswoman currently serves as a judge alongside Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Sofía Vergara, having joined the show in 2013 for the eighth season. With the exception of 2019, Klum has appeared as a judge on the reality show every year since.
