ABC News’ Linsey Davis spoke with the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Victoria Noble about what users should be on the lookout for if they choose to use an AI browser.
OpenAI on Tuesday unveiled a free web browser that is designed to work closely with the company’s artificial intelligence technologies, including the chatbot ChatGPT. The new browser, called Atlas, is a direct challenge to tech giants like Google, Apple and Microsoft, whose browsers have long dominated the internet.
The browser lets users access the chatbot alongside webpages in order to research, summarize and complete tasks without switching tabs.
OpenAI announced the launch of its first web browser, which they named ChatGPT Atlas. Atlas is currently available on Mac only right now and has all the features you would expect from an AI browser. But the most surprising part is that its built-in search features seem to be powered by Google and not Microsoft Bing,
