I found Ubuntu very exciting in the early days, but I quickly grew disillusioned with the distro's design choices.
When I’m asked to recommend a Linux distribution for beginners, I always suggest Ubuntu. It’s one of the easiest to master, but there’s still a learning curve for longtime Windows users.
Starting from WSL version 2.4.8, we can install Ubuntu on WSL from a tar file, without using the Microsoft Store on Windows.
