Romanian far-right populist Calin Georgescu has filed his candidacy in a rerun of last year's presidential election that was annulled by a top court after his surprise first-round win.

The country’s electoral commission ruled on Sunday that Calin Georgescu, an outspoken critic of Ukraine and NATO, could not compete in the do-over election.
