Monsoon season -- the weather pattern that has been creating inclement conditions in the western U.S. -- is expected to last for another few weeks following a massive dust storm in the Phoenix region.

Monsoon moisture had a big impact on our weather in Kern County. Early in the day the moisture helped kick off showers and thunderstorms, with storms redeveloping in southern Kern Tuesday afternoon.
