Jimmy Snuggerud scored twice and helped the No. 4/3 Golden Gophers men's hockey team rally for a 3-3 tie on the road at No. 2 Michigan State inside Munn Ice Arena Saturday night.

The Gophers, ranked fourth, got two goals from Jimmy Snuggerud in regulation against the No. 2 Spartans but lost a shootout.

What a statement win by No. 2 Michigan State hockey on Friday against against No. 4 Minnesota. The Spartans took down the Golden Gophers 9 to 3 in an absolute blowout in Munn Arena. This was a massive win by the Spartans who were just one point ahead of Minnesota in the conference standings heading into this game.

Isaac Howard and David Gucciardi scored two goals apiece as MSU scored four goals in both the second and third periods to roll past Minnesota.

Speedy Minnesota Golden Gophers forward Oliver Moore has played several games against Michigan State goalie Trey Augustine in his two seasons of college hockey and has spent several more games and practices as Augustine’s teammate with Team USA.
