Military bases across the country are stepping up security measures amid the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran.

The 24-hectare Al Udeid Air Base, in the desert outside the capital Doha, is the forward headquarters for U.S. Central Command, which directs U.S. military operations in territory stretching from Egypt in the west to Kazakhstan in the east. The Middle East's largest U.S. base houses around 10,000 troops.

The Middle East is home to some of Europe's key trading partners, and a number of strategic trading routes. Many Europeans live in cities such as Beirut, Dubai or Jerusalem.

While the U.S. Air Force doesn't exactly publicize the numbers of aircraft it owns and where they're at, we can still determine which base has the most.

The U.S Central Command stated on social media that B-2 stealth bombers were armed with 2,000 lb. bombs and struck Iran’s hardened ballistic missile facilities.

The advisory was issued in connection with the joint U.S.-Israel attacks on Iran that are being led, in part, by the San Diego aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.

The attack is the latest in a series of retaliatory actions by Iran following US-Israeli strikes on its territory.
