The Google Pixel 2 XL release date was October 19 in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany and India. While the phone is currently available to order, it may not ship to you right away.

Other things I like about the Pixel 2 XL: this is the design that Apple should've adopted with iPhone X. The large 6-inch display is not quite bezel-less but the top and bottom bezels are minimal.

Google accomplishes this feat with a dual-pixel sensor rather than a second rear camera like on the iPhone 7 Plus, 8 Plus or upcoming X or Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8.

The Pixel 2 and 2 XL are more Google catching up than edging past those others, but that doesn’t mean they’re not worth a look.

The Pixel 2 XL stopped receiving software updates in 2020, but that doesn’t mean the phone is stuck in the past. Sure, it’s only running Android 11, but individual apps can be updated.
