The National Weather Service says that a combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain could "lead to icy travel conditions" late Sunday morning into early afternoon. The Twin Cities and the counties to the north could see ice accumulations in excess of 0.01 inches between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Minnesota weather: Light freezing rain, wintry mix expected midday on Sunday
A winter weather advisory will be in place for the Twin Cities and parts of northern Minnesota when a brief wintry mix works its way through the region.
Expect another round of freezing rain after dark. Once it gets closer to 7 to 8 p.m., freezing rain will expand into the Green Bay area. It will continue through the night and the area could see most of the freezing rain add up toward midnight, said Scott Berschback, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service Green Bay.
