The official way to use copyrighted music on YouTube is through YouTube Studio > Audio library. The audio library includes free music and sound effects, some of which don't even require attribution.
On July 4, YouTube released an updated eraser tool for creators so they can easily remove any copyrighted music from their videos without affecting any other audio such as dialog or sound effects.
