Several universities across the country have confirmed to UPI that international students have had their visas revoked without notice or had their Student and Exchange Visitor Information System records terminated.

The number of international students studying at Wisconsin universities who have had their visas terminated by the Trump administration is growing. The termination of the students' records in the government's Student and Exchange Visitor Program database means they have lost their legal status in the U.

While not all the affected schools said immigration status changes were tied to activism, they come as the Trump administration cracks down on students who protested Israel’s war in Gaza.
