Ghana international Thomas Partey has joined La Liga club Villarreal following his release from Arsenal. The 32-year-old, who signed for Arsenal in a £45m deal from Atletico Madrid in 2020, left the Gunners when his contract expired at the end of June.

Villarreal have signed Ghana international Thomas Partey on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract with Arsenal, the LaLiga club said on Thursday.

Villarreal have completed the signing of former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey. Partey, 32, has signed a two year deal at the La Liga club, comprising of an initial one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months. Official confirmation of the move is expected imminently.
