CLEVELAND — Northeast Ohio got a real taste of winter over the Thanksgiving holiday. In the last 72 hours the lake effect snow has been varied. As usual it is a matter of the haves and the have-nots. Lake effect snow is notorious for vastly different accumulations from place to place - often within the same city.
Up to 14 inches of snow could fall beginning on Saturday, prompting urgent warnings from the National Weather Service.
Some parts of Ohio saw heavy snow over Thanksgiving weekend, with some areas reaching 6 inches. A winter weather advisory remains in effect statewide.
