At long last, Shedeur Sanders was drafted in the fifth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday. The Cleveland Browns traded up to the 144th pick to select the Colorado star quarterback following an unprecedented slide.

Shedeur Sanders proclaimed himself the best quarterback of the NFL's incoming rookie class before the start of the 2025 draft. The Colorado signal-caller went untouched in Round 1, however, then slid all the way into Round 3 by Friday night.

The Cleveland Browns selected quarterback Dillon Gabriel with the 94th overall pick in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft on April 25, 2025, following an exceptional collegiate career at UCF, Oklahoma, and Oregon, where he set FBS touchdown records.
