England began to battle back against Pakistan as they began the chase of 556 in Multan. The tourists managed to bowl Pakistan out later into day two of the first Test between the two sides, but not before Salman Ali Agha scored the third century of the host’s innings.

Pakistan were all out for 556 in their first innings on day two of the opening test against England on Tuesday. Shan Masood (151), Abdullah Shafique (102) and Salman Agha (104 not out) struck hundreds while Saud Shakeel made 82. Jack Leach was the pick of the English bowlers claiming 3-160.

The onus was heavily relying on the skipper Shan Masood to overcome the early pressure. He did exactly what was needed and was ably supported by Abdullah Shafique to put England’s bowlers to the test.
