Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee deleted his controversial social media posts on the assassination of Minnesota Democratic state Rep. Melissa Hortman after facing backlash from across the aisle.

“This is what happens When Marxists don’t get their way,” Mr. Lee wrote on Sunday on his personal X account, a message accompanied by photographs of the suspect released by law enforcement officials.

But for those who regularly follow Lee’s X feed, none of this should come as a surprise.
