Dorian Finney-Smith makes his feelings known on his bond with Luka Doncic and how he reacted when he found out Finney-Smith was joining the Rockets.

While he was initially shocked over the trade that sent him to Los Angeles in early February, he has seemingly gotten over those emotions. According to Dan Woike of The Athletic, he has given several signals that he intends to stay with the Lakers long term, including his assistance in recruiting center Deandre Ayton and now guard Marcus Smart.

In seven seasons in the NBA, Doncic has career scoring averages of 28.6 points on 46.8% shooting from the field — including 35% from deep. He also led the league in scoring in 2023-24, putting up 33.9 points on 48.7% shooting per game.

“The Lakers have to be careful," the executive told ClutchPoints’ Benedetto Vitale on Wednesday. "Luka just got his butt kicked by a team he handled easily last year, and now they're telling him to wait another year before he can really compete."

With a determined mindset, Luka Doncic is entering a defining season in Los Angeles. The 25-year-old star, now in his second year with the team, will likely lead the franchise into a new era of success.
