After watching the Los Angeles Lakers sign veteran guard Marcus Smart to a two-year, $11 million deal, NBA analyst Zach Lowe wonders if they gave up too soon on Jordan Goodwin.

The Lakers have reportedly waived guards Shake Milton and Jordan Goodwin in order to be able to sign Marcus Smart once Smart clears waivers.

Over the offseason, Goodwin signed a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers before being waived prior to the start of the regular season and signing with the South Bay Lakers. He spent ample time there before ultimately signing another two-way contract with Los Angeles a year after doing so in Memphis.
